Kai Lyons, a bilingual San Francisco native, is an alumnus of the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts and the Community Music Center's Young Musicians Program. He serves as an adjunct professor of Jazz Guitar at Cal State East Bay and is a recent addition to the San Francisco Symphony's "Adventures in Music (AIM II)" program.

Kai regularly performs with 85-year-old jazz piano legend Larry Vuckovich and organ virtuoso Wil Blades, gracing stages such as SFJAZZ, the San Jose Jazz Festival, and Oracle Park.

His passion for music and traditional folkloric styles has taken him around the globe, with travels to Cuba, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Ghana, and Morocco.
